Story About Jesus

With Christmas just around the corner our thoughts turn naturally to the arrival of Jesus. Most men and women think of Jesus as a teacher and a healer, and obviously they’d be proper. The Bible also tells us that God promised King David a boy who’d reign over Israel for ever, read more via We often forget that Jesus could claim the name”King of the Jews”. Nobody laughed, such as the Jewish priests understood from scriptures that day a distinctive tribe would be born in Bethlehem. We all know in hindsight that the final time Jesus was in the world it wasn’t God’s will for Jesus to become King of Israel at the moment. The gospel had to be preached to the entire ground first, as it now was.

That doesn’t mean Jesus won’t be king over Israel though. The Bible informs us that when Jesus returns, his claim to the throne of David won’t be like the sins we see on earth now — Jesus is going to have the ability and ability to lay claim to the throne. The Bible provides us a superb hope for our planet. It won’t necessarily be from the gloomy country — that the violence, the corruption and the wicked methods of men — which we see now. The Bible teaches us that we could have that superb trust ourselves and we are going to have the chance to assist Christ if he returns, but we will need to do something about it today.

We will need to know, to think and be baptised to the saving name of Christ, if we want to live eternally with Jesus on earth to come. That is exactly what the apostle Paul said when he explained what he had been looking ahead to: “Finally, there’s laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only, but also to those who have loved his appearing” (2 Timothy 4:8) Thus, consider the birth of Jesus this Christmas, but also think about the reasons why he had been born along with the joy which the forthcoming King will attract!
